This is the CV builder with the pharma and healthcare commercial field preselected. The core-competency list covers what pharma hiring managers scan for: product launch management, brand strategy, market access and formulary submissions, KOL and advisory board management, patient support programs, IQVIA analytics, omnichannel HCP engagement and CLM, P&L ownership, forecasting and S&OP, regulatory and promotional compliance, tenders and agency management. Tick the ones you can back up with a result.

It suits the main commercial and medical ladders. Medical and sales representatives should lead with target achievement, call rate and coverage, and ranking; key account managers with hospital and formulary wins, tenders and institutional revenue; product and brand managers with launches, market share, growth against the market and budgets managed; market access specialists with listings, budget impact models and time to access; MSLs with scientific exchange, KOL relationships, advisory boards and publications (switch the field to Medical / clinical for the MSL skill set).

What hiring managers in pharma look for is evidence: numbers tied to products, markets and time. Each achievement template has blanks for exactly those, for example "Launched [product] achieving [X]% market share within [N] months" or "Secured formulary listing in [N] hospitals and payers". Quantify with the data you already report (IQVIA or sell-out share, % of target, evolution index, patients on therapy, number of accounts or HCPs), state the period, and avoid confidential figures you are not allowed to share: percentages and ranges are fine.

The output is ATS-friendly: a single column, standard headings, real text and dates beside each role, in the Professional template with two-column competencies and right-aligned dates. Download it as a PDF or a Word .docx file. Not in pharma? Use the general CV builder; and once the CV is done, write the covering letter with the cover letter generator.

How to use it

  1. Confirm the Pharma / healthcare commercial field (or switch to Medical / clinical for MSL and medical affairs roles), then pick your seniority and target regions such as the GCC or the Levant.
  2. Add your contact details, languages and extras such as a residence permit or driving licence.
  3. Tick the pharma competencies you can prove, then for each role tick the achievement templates that fit and fill in the product, share, growth and time figures.
  4. Choose a summary tone: achievement-led works well for brand and sales roles, leadership-led for managers and heads of function.
  5. Check the review list, keep the Professional template, and download the PDF or Word file.

Frequently asked questions

How do I write a medical representative CV with no launch experience?

Lead with what you controlled: % of sales target by year, call average and target-list coverage, ranking in the team, new accounts opened and products you detailed. Those are the achievement templates for representatives; add launches only when you took part in one.

Which achievements matter most for a pharma brand or product manager CV?

Launch results (market share and time to reach it), growth versus the market, market access wins, the size of the budget and portfolio you owned, and cross-functional work with medical, market access and sales. Each has a template with blanks so you only type the numbers.

Can I show sales figures on my CV?

Use figures you are allowed to share. Percentages (market share, growth, % of target) and rounded ranges are usually fine; avoid confidential absolute sales and internal forecasts. Never leave a blank such as [X]: the builder warns you before export.

Is this suitable for MSL and medical affairs roles?

Yes. Switch the field to Medical / clinical to get MSL competencies (scientific exchange, KOL mapping, medical information, pharmacovigilance, evidence generation) and matching achievement templates, and keep the same template and exports.

Is the CV ATS-friendly?

Yes. It is a single column with standard headings and real text; the PDF has selectable text and the Word file uses plain paragraphs, real bullets and one borderless table for the two-column competencies.

PDF or Word: which should I send?

Send the PDF unless the job advert or recruiter asks for Word. The PDF keeps the layout exactly and still has real, selectable text that applicant tracking systems (ATS) read. Choose Word (.docx) when a recruiter wants to edit or reformat your CV; it uses the same styles, a tab stop for the dates and real bullet lists.

Is my CV uploaded anywhere?

No. The builder, the preview, the PDF and the Word file are all made in your browser; nothing you type is sent to a server. A draft is kept on your device only if you tick "Keep a draft on this device", and you can clear it by unticking the box.
