Up to 50 files, 500.0 MB in total, processed one after another on your device.

Files are processed in your browser, one at a time, and never uploaded.

A folder of invoices, scanned forms or course handouts often needs the same treatment for every file: make them small enough to email or upload, pull out the first page of each, turn them into images for a presentation, or collect their text. Doing that file by file is slow. This page takes up to 50 PDFs (500 MB together), applies one operation to each, and hands back either a ZIP with one result per file or a single merged PDF.

Operations: Compress keeps text, links and forms and re-encodes only the images inside (light, recommended or strong), using the same engine as Compress PDF; a file that is already compact comes back unchanged instead of growing. Extract pages takes the same range from every file, such as "1" for cover pages or "1-3, last", and simply skips pages that a shorter file does not have. Convert to images renders every page to JPG or PNG at 72, 150 or 300 dpi, one folder per PDF inside the ZIP. Convert to text writes a .txt file per PDF with the text in reading order. Rename only copies the files with new names.

For compress, extract and rename you can choose one merged PDF instead of a ZIP: the results are joined in the order of the list, which you can rearrange with the arrows, by dragging or with the arrow keys. Names follow a pattern with {name}, {n}, {n:3} and {date}, and duplicates get a number, so "invoice-{n:3}" gives invoice-001.pdf, invoice-002.pdf and so on.

Files are handled one after another, each with its own progress and result line. A password-protected or damaged PDF is marked with the reason and the batch continues; unlock or repair that file separately and run it again. Scanned PDFs have no text layer, so convert-to-text returns empty pages for them: run OCR PDF first.

How to use it

  1. Drop up to 50 PDF files or click to choose them, and put them in order if you plan to merge.
  2. Choose the operation and its settings (level, page range, image format and resolution).
  3. Choose a ZIP or one merged PDF, and a name pattern.
  4. Click Process, follow each file's progress, then download the ZIP or the merged PDF.

Frequently asked questions

Are my files uploaded anywhere?

No. Your browser reads the files and does the work on your device; nothing is sent to a server. The engines (the PDF, image and FFmpeg code) are downloaded from this site the first time an action needs them and then run locally.

Does compressing keep the text selectable?

Yes. The keep-text engine only re-encodes photos and scans inside the PDF and cleans unused data; text, fonts, links and form fields stay as they are. If a file cannot be made smaller, the original is kept and the list says so.

What happens if a PDF has fewer pages than my range?

Pages past the end of that file are skipped and its line says so. Only a range with no page at all inside a file marks that file as failed.

Can I merge the results into one file?

Yes, for compress, extract and rename: pick "One merged PDF" as the output. The files are joined in the order shown in the list.

Why did a file fail?

The usual reasons are a password (use Unlock PDF first if it is your file), a damaged file (try Repair PDF) or a file that is not really a PDF. The other files in the batch are not affected.

What are the limits?

Up to 50 PDFs and 500 MB in total per batch. Very long documents take longer to convert to images at 300 dpi; 150 dpi is a good default for screens.
