When a website, an upload portal, an e-mail or an app refuses a file, the reason is usually one of a handful of things: the file is too big, it is in a format the site does not accept, the picture has the wrong size, or a PDF is protected, scanned or damaged. Drop the file here and this page checks it on your device and tells you what it found, in plain words, with a one-click fix for each problem that opens the right tool with your file already loaded.
What it checks: the size against common limits (about 20 to 25 MB for e-mail attachments, about 16 MB for WhatsApp videos, 2 MB or 200 KB on many upload portals; these are common figures, not official ones, and each service sets its own); formats many places reject, such as HEIC photos from iPhones, WebP, AVIF, BMP and TIFF images, MOV videos, and Opus or OGG voice notes; an extension that does not match the content; image dimensions, the DPI value stored in the file, and camera metadata including the GPS location where a photo was taken; for PDFs, password protection, scanned pages without selectable text, very large embedded images, a missing end-of-file marker, structural errors found by qpdf, and fillable or XFA forms; for videos, HEVC (H.265), VP9 and AV1 codecs, variable frame rate and a very high bitrate; and macros in Word, Excel or PowerPoint files.
Only the parts of the file needed for these checks are read: headers, the PDF structure and the first pages' text. Nothing is uploaded. When you click a fix, the file is handed to the tool page inside your browser (it is kept briefly in the browser's own storage so the next page can open it) and the tool starts with it loaded. Some findings have no one-click fix, for example Office macros or XFA forms, and the page says what to do instead.

Frequently asked questions
Is my file uploaded to check it?
No. The checks read the file in your browser. For PDFs, pdf.js reads the text of the first pages and qpdf (WebAssembly, loaded on demand) checks the structure, both on your device.
Are the size limits official?
No. They are common limits people run into: many e-mail services cap attachments at about 20 to 25 MB, WhatsApp commonly refuses or heavily compresses videos over about 16 MB sent as media, and many job, visa and government portals ask for 2 MB or even 200 KB. Always check the exact rule of the site you are using.
How does the one-click fix work?
The fix opens the tool that solves the problem, for example HEIC to JPG, Remove photo metadata, Unlock PDF, OCR PDF or the video converter, and hands your file to it inside the browser, so you do not have to find and choose the file again. The file stays on your device.
Why does it say my photo has a location?
Phones store the GPS position where a photo was taken in its metadata (EXIF). Anyone who gets the original file can read it. The Remove photo metadata tool deletes it; JPEG, PNG and WebP files are cleaned without re-encoding the picture.
What does variable frame rate mean?
Phones and screen recorders often record frames at uneven intervals to save power. Players cope, but video editors can drift the sound out of sync. Re-encoding to MP4 with the video converter writes frames at a constant rate.
It says "No problems found" but the site still rejects my file. Why?
Some sites have rules this page cannot know, such as an exact pixel size for a passport photo, a maximum page count or a specific file name. Check the site's instructions; the image resizer, compress-to-size tools and the passport photo maker cover the most common requirements.
