Create a QR code with a logo
Make a QR code with your logo in the middle, checked in the browser to make sure it still scans.

A logo in the middle of a QR code makes it recognisable on a poster, menu, business card or package, and tells people whose link they are about to open. It works because QR codes carry error correction: at level H, the highest, roughly 30% of the code's data can be damaged or covered and a scanner can still rebuild it. This generator always uses level H and places your logo on a cleared square in the exact centre, aligned to the code's grid, with an optional white margin so the logo edges do not blur into the modules around it.
The risky part of logo QR codes is that some designs look fine and do not scan. So every time you change something, the finished image is decoded in your browser with jsQR, an open-source QR reader, at full size and again at a small size similar to a print a few centimetres wide. You see "Scans correctly", "Scans at full size only" or "Does not scan" straight away and can shrink the logo, add the margin or adjust colours until it passes. Colour choices are checked too: scanners expect dark modules on a light background, and low-contrast or inverted colour pairs are flagged.
The logo size is set as a share of the code width, from 10% to 30%, with 20-25% a good balance. Download a PNG up to 2048 pixels for screens and everyday print, or an SVG with vector modules for large-format printing (the logo inside stays the image you uploaded). Short links make simpler codes with bigger modules, which scan more easily. Nothing is uploaded, the code never expires, and there is no tracking redirect: the QR code contains exactly the text you typed.
How to use it
- Type or paste the link or text the code should contain.
- Upload your logo (PNG, JPG, WebP or GIF; a square logo on a plain background works best).
- Adjust the logo size, margin and colours until the status says it scans correctly.
- Download the PNG or SVG, and test the printed result with a couple of phones.
Frequently asked questions
Will a QR code with a logo still scan?
Yes, if the logo is not too big and the contrast is good. This tool uses the highest error correction (H) and decodes every design to check; aim for 20-25% of the width.
Does the QR code expire?
No. It contains your link directly, with no redirect service in between, so it works as long as the link does.
Can I use brand colours?
Yes, as long as the code stays dark on a light background with enough contrast. The tool warns about inverted or low-contrast colours.
Which file should I use for printing?
SVG for large prints such as posters and banners, since the modules are vector shapes. PNG at 1024 or 2048 pixels is fine for flyers, menus and cards.
Can I use an SVG logo?
Convert it to PNG first with the SVG to PNG tool, then upload the PNG.
